Wong-Ligda: oil paintings and murals. A portfolio of paintings and an
example of my painting process. I am currently a Professor of Art at Grand
Valley State University, in Allendale, Michigan, just west of Grand Rapids.I
grew up in Palo Alto, California attended Palo Alto High, Foothill College,
Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and have a MFA from the University
of Tulsa. My work in oils are realistically figurative images. I paint
mainly women. Many times my images deal with social and artistic issues.
My works can be seen in
public and private collections throughout the United States. Selected collections
include, the Van Andel Museum Center, Butterworth Hospital, Catholic Social
Services, GVSU, the Art Center of Battle Creek, Appalachian State College,
the State of Missouri and the State of Oregon. The portfolio contains images of, The
Separation, Pegasus, Art History, Fine Art, Central Valley Storyteller, Couble
Knee Replacement, Renee, Six Months Pregnant, Renee, Nine Months Pregnant (after
Dürer), Furniture City, The Appeal, Christy color study, and Cadaver Bone
Replacement.
